The Long Blondes - “Once and Never Again”
I’ve been listening to this album a lot the last couple of weeks and wondering why I ever stop listening to The Long Blondes. One of my favourite lyrics ever is “Nineteen. You’re only nineteen for god’s sake; you don’t need a boyfriend”, which is referenced again later in “Heaven Help the New Girl”. Oh, Kate, you’re so wise.
